Our Philosophy

Anything But a Card Challenges was born in August of 2012 by our Founder Carla Hiebert and our first Challenge began Sept. 2, 2012 which started us on this journey with an amazing following.

Over this past summer, our Amazing team of creatives put our heads together and we decided to inspire and grow our budding Challenge Blog here. It's been a year since we began - and the time has flown by. We have been so inspired by all of you - our loyal fellow creatives - who create and share along with us.

We decided that Anything But a Card Challenges was more and bigger than all of us and it was unanimous that main requirement should be that the creative process is fun - not only for you, but for us as well! If you don't enjoy your art, why are you doing it? Sometimes we tend to get so caught up in producing that we forget to enjoy the process! Also, its so important to carve out just a little piece of time that is dedicated to just letting your muse play.

Also - we wanted to share a little more about our Designers, our creative process to get to know us better. So starting with Challenge No. 27 and going forward; Anything But a Card Challenges have been extended to three weeks {instead of two} so that you have an additional week to play along with a challenge. So we will have one three-week long challenge per month.

What happens to the 4th week???

This extra week will feature one of our fabulous creatives with an "Artist Spotlight" to start the month of with a BURST of Creative Inspiration who will propose a new "Mini Challenge". The Mini Challenge will go for one week.

Thanks to all of you for supporting us and growing with us here at Anything But a Card Challenges!

Sending you all many {{{ big crafty hugs }}}

:) Susan "your crafty den mother"

  1. I couldn't agree with you more! I enjoy all that I create, even those frustrating pieces that you have to walk away from and come back to. In the end that is what really matters. Having fun and a happy crafting time! ~Niki
